Rev. Nancy Sherman Carter is an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church.  She has served congregational, hospital and non-profit settings.  Nancy earned a Master of Divinity, Magna Cum Laude from Perkins School of Theology, SMU, a BBA in Accounting from Texas Tech University and a Certificate in the Art of Spiritual Direction and Leadership from HeartPaths Spirituality Center.  Additional training has included Clinical Pastoral Education, Bowen Family System, Enneagram, and Trama Informed Care. 

 

Nancy’s passion is to companion others on their journey of wholeness in mind, body and spirit.  She is currently serving as a chaplain at UT Southwestern Medical Center and Spiritual Director.  Nancy is active in Spiritual Directors International, Academy for Spiritual Formation, Positively Impacting Communities, Kairos Outside Prison Ministry, and PEO (Philanthropic Education Organization).
